NSF/ANSI Standard 42 Certified Filters
In addition to being as free from contaminants as possible, you also want your water to smell and taste good. CB Tech’s Drinking Water Systems include NSF/ANSI Standard 42 filters help with that. An NSF Standard 42 filter is one that has been tested and certified according to NSF Standard 42 for aesthetic effects.
NSF/ANSI 42-Aesthetic Effects
When it comes to drinking water, the term “aesthetic effects” refers to the potential contaminants that are non-health-related, such as chlorine and other particulates as well as the water’s color, taste, etc. While these elements may not be detrimental to your health, they can still contribute to water that doesn’t taste as great as it could.
An NSF/ANSI 42-Aesthetic Effects certification — a feature of CB Tech Drinking Water Systems CB-VOC, CB-As and Water Guardian — indicates that these systems have been tested and validated for their ability to reduce a variety of these contaminating substances. This certification means our filters reduce the concentration of these substances entering the system to a concentration equal to or less than the permissible limit for water leaving the system.
The contaminants this system can filter out are:
- Chloramine: Greater than 97.5 percent reduction
- Chlorine: Reduction of 99 percent
- Particulate Class I: Greater than 99 percent reduction
NSF Certification Is Validation You Can Trust
It can be difficult to know if the water filtration system you buy is one you can truly rely on to reduce the contaminants in your water. Many water filtration systems can make claims, but what makes those claims valid?
Our CB Tech drinking water system products are certified by NSF International, a company that has been developing public health and safety standards since the 1940s. They are a third-party testing and verification organization with no affiliation to a particular water filtration company that provides certifications validating water filtration products all over the world. When a product is NSF-certified, you know you can trust it.
How NSF Certification Works
When NSF is given a product that is submitted for certification, it puts that product through rigorous safety and performance testing. Each product goes through a wide range of tests, everything from the manufacturing process and structural integrity to filter materials and even product labeling. These certifications are based on recommendations from the industry, the scientific community and in some cases, the Environmental Protection Agency’s Task Force Report, Guide Standard and Protocol for Testing Microbiological Water Purifiers.
Competitive Advantages of NSF 42 Standard Filters
When you use water filtration products with NSF 42 Standard filters from CB Tech, you’ll know that you are using a product with exceptional safety and performance. NSF-certified products are retested every five years to verify their performance capabilities are as advertised.
